The Heartland Wellbeing Institute ​ was created from the desire and intention to offer experiences and opportunities that support wellbeing. To make the time to remember who we are, why we are here and what we want to do about it.  To offer practical and simple strategies to engage in what is important to you, what brings you joy and how to incorporate these activities into your daily life.

Mindfulness...

What is mindfulness?  It is about paying attention to one thing at a time, in this present moment with out judging the moment or the experience.  Being intentional about practicing mindfulness can help reduce stress, boost your immune system and help you be more responsive rather than reactive in difficult situations.   There are many forms of mindfulness practices including sitting, movement and everyday activities.  The best practice is what you enjoy and works into your schedule.  Mindfulness looks different for each person.  Contact me and I can support your journey to create a practice that works for you.

Spring Pondering...

March 20th is one of my favorite days in the calendar year – the day when spring begins – the First Day of Spring.  Some years it ‘feels’ like spring with warm days, spring flowers starting to bloom and trees beginning to sprout buds.  Other years, like this one, mother nature is still in its winter slumber.  A few hearty daffodils are pushing up through the brown soil – but that’s about it...  Go to Current Ponderings  for entire pondering.
